St. Louis Work Zones May 2-8

ST. LOUIS – Eastbound I-270 drivers traveling through North St. Louis County may experience delays as crews prepare to shift traffic to a new section of interstate between Lilac and Riverview Boulevard. 

Weather permitting, starting at 9 p.m. Friday, May 3, the left lane of eastbound I-270 will be closed as traffic is shifted to the new eastbound lane configuration. This traffic shift is expected to be completed by 10 a.m., Sunday, May 5. 

At 9 a.m. Saturday, May 4, crews will close the eastbound I-270 exit ramp to Riverview Boulevard for reconstruction for approximately three months. Drivers can detour by exiting at Lilac to Dunn Road to Riverview Boulevard.

Motorists should be aware of the following ongoing closures:

  • I-55, St. Louis City, one lane closed on Carondelet under I-55 through early May 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Arsenal to southbound I-55 closed through early May 2024. 
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane from Gasconade Avenue to Potomac Street closed until late April 2024. 
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from northbound to Loughborough will be closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Germania to northbound will be closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed between Lindbergh and Reavis Barracks Road through 2024. 
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two northbound lanes closed between Reavis Barracks Rd. and Virginia through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the Cherokee entrance ramp to southbound I-55 closed through 2024. 
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two southbound lanes closed from north of Bates to north of Lindbergh and the southbound exit to Bates closed.

  • Route AB, St. Louis County, one eastbound and westbound laned closed under I-270 through 2025.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, one westbound lane closed at Spencer Creek through May 2024.

  • Route 21, Jefferson County, one lane closed southbound from Meramec Heights to Shady Valley through mid-2024.
