ST LOUIS -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded more Amendment 3 projects at its April 6 meeting. More than $20 million in Amendment 3 projects was awarded, which is part of MoDOT’s "Smoother, Safer, Sooner" initiative. The projects include:
Repair pavement and resurface the following roadways. Awarded to Pace Construction Company (St. Louis) for $8.7 million.
- Rte. 231 (Telegraph Rd.) from the St. Louis City Limits to Franru Road (north of the I-255 interchange);
- Rte. 61 from north of Big Bend Rd. to west of Rte. 21;
- Rte. 61/67 from north of Butler Hill Rd. to Rte. M (Jefferson County).
Resurface the following roadways. Awarded to Pace Construction Company (St. Louis) for $6.6 million.
- I-70 reversible lanes between Union and Broadway;
- I-70 from St Louis Ave. to Broadway St.;
- Rte. N (Florissant Rd.) from I-270 to Rte. 115;
- Rte. H (Hall St.) from I-270 to Adelaide St.;
- I-64 on ramps at the Poplar Street Bridge;
- Rte. 115 from the I-70 South Outer Road at Airflight to Rte. 115 and on Rte. 115 to west of I-170;
- and repair shoulders and striping on I-70 from Bermuda Dr. to St Louis Ave.
Rte. 370 from I-70 (St. Charles County) to I-270 (St. Louis County) – Resurface bridge approach pavement; Rte. 94 from east of Rte. N to east of Jungerman Rd. and from Sunset to Lindenwood College – Resurface. Awarded to Krupp Construction, Inc. (Ellisville) for $2.6 million.
Resurface the following roadways. Awarded to Krupp Construction, Inc. (Ellisville) for $2.3 million.
- Rte. 141 from Rte. 340 (Olive Blvd.) to Rte. AB (Ladue Rd.);
- Rte. 340 (Olive Blvd.) from Ballas Rd. to Lindbergh;
- Rte. 340 (Olive Blvd.) from Applachian Trail to west of I-64;
- and I-64 from east of Chesterfield Pkwy. to Timberlake Manor and from east of Mason to west of I-270.
Construction on these projects is expected to begin this spring/summer, and construction will be completed by summer/fall 2006. Other non-Amendment 3 projects awarded by the MHTC on April 6 include:
I-44 on the eastbound off ramp at Vandeventer – Grading and paving to improve right turn radius. Awarded to R.V. Wagner, Inc. (St. Louis) for $56, 351. The project is expected to begin this spring and should be complete by summer 2005.
I-64 at Meadows Pkwy. east of Rte. 94 – Grading, paving, and construct roundabout and exit ramp. Awarded to JRW Construction, Inc. (St. Louis) for $1.6 million. The project is expected to begin this spring and should be complete by fall 2005.
Rte. A at Pounds Rd. – Construct eastbound and westbound left turn lanes and northbound right turn lane. Awarded to Krupp Construction, Inc. (Ellisville) for $381,117. The project is expected to begin this spring and should be complete by summer 2005.
Repair and replace guardrail at the following locations. Awarded to D&S Fencing Company (Festus) for $1.19 million. The project is expected to begin this spring and should be complete by late 2005.
- I-44 from the Meramec River in Eureka to Rte. 141;
- I-270 outer roadways from east of Lindbergh Blvd. to east of Lilac Ave.;
- and Rte. 109 from Manchester Rd. to south of Emerald View Pkwy.
Rte. 67 from north of Rte. 110 to south of Meyer Rd. – Add left and right turn lanes at Montauk Rd. Awarded to N.B. West Contracting Company (Brentwood) for $398,861. The project is expected to begin this spring and should be complete by summer 2005.
Southbound Rte. 367 over Coldwater Creek and southbound Rte. 367 over Rte. 67 (Lindbergh Blvd.) – Replace bridges. Awarded to Pace Construction Company (St. Louis) for $3.5 million. The project is expected to begin this spring/summer and should be complete by late 2005.
I-44 ramp (from northbound I-270 to westbound I-44) and on Kinswood Ln. and Koch Rd. at various locations – Repair pavement. Awarded to JRW Construction, Inc. (St. Louis) for $272,382. The project is expected to begin this spring and should be complete by summer 2005.
