WASHINGTON - The Missouri Department of Transportation, and its contractor, Millstone Bangert, Inc., will postpone its paving operations on Route 100 to Tuesday, November 3 due to this week's inclement weather. There will lane closures on Route 100 between Interstate 44 and Route 47 on the following days, weather permitting:
Motorists may experience delays during the paving work and are encouraged to use alternate routes. This work is part of the Route 100 widening project, which is part of a cost-share partnership between MoDOT and the city of Washington. The $21.1 million dollar project will add two additional lanes on Route 100 from Interstate 44 to Route 47. The widening project is expected to be complete in June 2010.Motorists should reduce their speed, use caution and pay attention in this work zone.
