WASHINGTON - The Missouri Department of Transportation, and its contractor, Millstone Bangert, Inc., will begin a paving operation on Route 100 starting Wednesday, October 28. Paving work will take place on the north side of Route 100 at the west end of the project where motorists can expect minimal lane closures. Crews will pave this area of Route 100 on the following days, weather permitting:
This work is part of the Route 100 widening project, which is part of a cost-share partnership between MoDOT and the city of Washington. The $21.1 million dollar project will add two additional lanes on Route 100 from Interstate 44 to Route 47. The widening project is expected to be complete in June 2010.Motorists should reduce their speed, use caution and pay attention in this work zone.
