I-64 Traffic Impacts for Week of October 12
Updated 10/16 4 p.m.

NOTE: The ramp from Vandeventer Avenue to westbound I-64 remains closed for pavement repair. The eastbound I-64 exit ramp for Vandeventer Avenue is also closed. The eastbound I-64 on ramp from Papin Street remains closed until November. This work is not part of the I-64 contract but an adjacent contract that affects traffic on I-64 just east of Kingshighway. 

Monday, October 12

  • From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. the pedestrian tunnel by the Science Center will be closed for concrete patching.
  • CANCELLED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed in each direction at the I-64 bridge.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of the westbound I-64 exit to Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of the northbound I-170 entrance ramp from Eager Road will be closed where it crosses under I-64.
  • CANCELLED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of Hanley Road will be closed in each direction at I-64 for asphalt paving.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. two lanes of eastbound I-64 will be closed between the South 40 Drive entrance ramp and the McCutcheon Road bridge for striping.

Tuesday, October 13

  • ADDED! At 7 a.m. the intersection of Gissler Avenue and Moorlands Drive will be closed. The closure will be in place for approximately three days.  
  • From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. the pedestrian tunnel by the Science Center will be closed for concrete patching.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed in each direction at the I-64 bridge.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of the northbound I-170 entrance ramp from Eager Road will be closed where it crosses under I-64.
  • ADDED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m, one lane of southbound I-170 will be closed from Galleria Parkway to I-64.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of Hanley Road will be closed in each direction at I-64 for asphalt paving.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. two lanes of eastbound I-64 will be closed between the South 40 Drive entrance ramp and the McCutcheon Road bridge for striping.

Wednesday, October 14

  • From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. the pedestrian tunnel by the Science Center will be closed for concrete patching.
  • UPDATED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of northbound Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed the I-64 bridge.
  • ADDED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound I-64 will be closed at Kingshighway.
  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of southbound Hanley Road will be at I-64 for asphalt paving.
  • ADDED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of southbound I-170 will be closed at Eager Road.

Thursday, October 15

  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of Hanley Road will be closed in each direction at I-64 for asphalt paving.
  • CANCELLED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed in each direction between Oakland Avenue and Hospital Plaza.
  • ADDED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound I-64 will be closed at Kingshighway Boulevard

Friday, October 16

  • UPDATED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane of northbound Hanley Road will be closed at I-64 for asphalt paving.
  • CANCELLED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of Kingshighway Boulevard will be closed in each direction between Oakland Avenue and Hospital Plaza.
  • ADDED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound Eager Road will be closed at I-170.
  • ADDED! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound I-64 will be closed at Kingshighway Boulevard for painting the retaining wall.

Saturday, October 17

  • No traffic restrictions are currently scheduled.

Sunday, October 18

  • ADDED! From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of westbound I-64 will be closed at Kingshighway Boulevard for painting the retaining wall.
