ST LOUIS -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded several projects at its March 8 meeting. Approximately $14.3 million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects. All contracts were awarded to the lowest bidder. The projects include:
Various locations in the St. Louis metro area – Striping. This project was awarded to Interstate Road Management Corp. (Hazleton, PA) for $755,958. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in fall 2006.
I-44 at Rte. 100 east of Gray Summit – Replace and widen bridge, add traffic signals and add acceleration and deceleration lanes. This project was awarded to Millstone Bangert, Inc. (St. Charles, MO) for $6.6 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2006.
Rte. P at Joachim Creek (near Hematite) – Replace bridge. This project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting Company (Brentwood, MO) for $393,755. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in summer 2006.
I-44 at Jamieson Ave. – Replace signals. This project was awarded to T.G.B., Inc. (St. Louis, MO) for $139,134. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in fall 2006.
Rte. T at Missouri Central Railroad near Labadie – Replace railroad bridge. This project was awarded to Schnieders Excavating Company, Inc. (Jefferson City, MO) for $3.1 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in fall 2007.
Rte. 21 bridge over the Meramec River – Paint bridge. This project was awarded to Thomas Industrial Coatings, Inc. (Pevely, MO) for $1.5 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2006.
Rte. K from Rte. 61/67 to Fifth St. in Kimmswick – Replace bridge over Rock Creek. This project was awarded to Krupp Construction, Inc. (Ellisville, MO) for $1.9 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in spring 2007.
