ST LOUIS -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded several projects at its February 7 meeting. Approximately $53.1 million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects. All contracts were awarded to the lowest bidder. The projects include:

• These projects were awarded to Millstone Bangert, Inc. (St. Charles, MO) for $4.4 million. These projects are expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in fall 2006.
  - I-270 flyover ramp from southbound I-270 to eastbound I-70 – Rehabilitate bridge (painting, expansion joint repair and resurface).
  - I-270 flyover ramp from northbound I-270 to westbound I-70 – Rehabilitate bridge (painting, expansion joint repair and resurface).
  - I-70 bridge over I-270 – Rehabilitate bridge (painting, expansion joint repair and resurface).



• I-44 from east of Rte. 100 to the I-270 interchange – Resurface. This project was awarded to Fred Weber, Inc. (Maryland Heights, MO) for $4.6 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2006. Amendment 3 Project



• Rte. HH (Clayton Rd.) from Rte. 340 (Clarkson Rd.) to Baxter Rd. – Widen to three lanes. This project was awarded to Krupp Construction, Inc. (Ellisville, MO) for $13.1 million. This project is expected to begin in late spring 2006 and should be complete in fall 2008.



• Rte. 79 at Hostetter, Peruque, and Belleau Creek (all north of I-70) – Replace bridges. This project was awarded to Magruder Construction Company, Inc. (Eolia, MO) for $5.2 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in summer 2007.



• Rte. D at the St. Louis Terminal Railroad overpass in Overland – Replace bridge. This project was awarded to Fred Weber, Inc. (Maryland Heights, MO) for $2.1 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in fall 2006.



• Rte. 40/61 from east of Rte. DD to west of Rte. K – Upgrade to interstate standards. This project was awarded to Fred Weber, Inc. (Maryland Heights, MO) for $16.4 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2007.



• I-44 from Murdoch to Hampton – Resurface. This project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting Company (Brentwood, MO) for $1.4 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2006. Amendment 3 Project



• I-270/255 from the Jefferson Barracks Bridge to the Chain of Rocks Bridge – Repair pavement and resurface. This project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting Company (Brentwood, MO) for $3 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2006. Amendment 3 Project



• I-70 from Springdale to Branch and from east of 5th St. to west of Earth City Expressway – Resurface and repair pavement. This project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting Company (Brentwood, MO) for $2.9 million. This project is expected to begin in spring 2006 and should be complete in late 2006. Amendment 3 Project
