Commission Awards Local Projects At Nov. 9 Meeting

ST LOUIS -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded several projects at its November 9 meeting. Approximately $19 million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects. All contracts were awarded to the lowest bidder. The projects include:

  • These two projects were awarded to Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. (Arnold, MO) for $5.8 million. These projects are expected to begin in early 2006 and should be complete in late 2006. Amendment 3 Projects
    I-170 From Rte. D (Page Ave.) to Brentwood Blvd. – Resurface.
    I-170 from Forest Park Parkway to south of Rte. D (Page Ave.) – Rehabilitate bridges. 

  • These two projects were awarded to Pace Construction Company (St. Louis, MO) for $4.6 million. These projects are expected to begin in early 2006 and should be complete in late 2006. Amendment 3 Projects
    Rte. AC  (New Halls Ferry Rd.) from Rte. 67 to Parker Rd. in Florissant – Resurface.
    Rte. AC  (New Halls Ferry Rd.) from I-270 to St. Cyr Rd. in Jennings – Resurface and construct curbs and gutters.

  • Rte. 340 at Monsanto Dr. and Rte. 67 at Conway Blvd. – Reconstruct signals. Awarded to Gerstner Electric Inc. (Fenton, MO) for $194,854. This project is expected to begin in December 2005 and should be complete in summer 2006.

  • I-44 from west of Central Ave. to Williams Rd. in Eureka – Replace pavement. Awarded to Millstone Bangert, Inc. (St. Charles, MO) for $8.5 million. This project is expected to begin in early 2006 and should be complete in late 2006.
