ST LOUIS -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded several projects at its August 12 meeting. More than $12 million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects. The projects include:
* Rte. 141 from Bowles Ave. (St. Louis County) to Rte. 61/67 (Jefferson County) – Repair pavement and resurface. Awarded to Pace Construction Company (St. Louis, MO) for $5.3 million. The project is expected to begin this fall and should be complete by fall 2006. Amendment 3 Project
* Rte. 100 from Rte. T to West Glen Farms Rd. – Resurface driving lanes and shoulders. Awarded to Pace Construction Company (St. Louis, MO) for $1.7 million. The project is expected to begin late this summer and should be complete by fall 2006. Amendment 3 Project
* Rte. 370 from I-70 (St. Charles County) to west of I-270 (St. Louis County) – Repair pavement and resurface. Awarded to Penhall Company (Anaheim, CA) for $3.4 million. The project is expected to begin this fall and should be complete by fall 2006. Amendment 3 Project
* Rte. 141 at Howard George Rd. and I-170 from Forest Park Pkwy. to Page Ave. – Replace curbs and resurface shoulders. Awarded to Krupp Construction, Inc. (Ellisville, MO) for $258,946. The project is expected to begin late this summer and should be complete by late fall 2005.
* Rte. 30 over Skullbones Creek and Big River Creek (near Cedar Hill, Jefferson County) – Rehabilitate bridges. Awarded to APAC-Missouri, Inc. (Columbia, MO) for $1.7 million. The project is expected to begin late this summer and should be complete by late spring 2006.
* I-70 on the westbound exit ramp at Union Blvd. – Install new curb and new drainage system. Awarded to R.V. Wagner, Inc. (St. Louis, MO) for $46,228. The project is expected to begin this summer and should be complete by fall 2005.
