Project Update (updated July 12, 2018)

As of July 12, 2018 work has been completed at 15 of the 31 project locations.  In addition, the following work has been completed:    

-High Friction Surface treatment is complete on 20 of 35 lane miles 

-Flashing beacons have been installed at all 17 stop signs and all four LED stop signs have been installed

-Intersection conflict warning systems have been installed at five of six locations

–All 23 across the lane rumble strips have been installed, as have all 25 miles of edge line rumbles and 21 of 37 miles of center line rumbles

-682 chevrons signs have been installed at 61 curves

Project Details

During the last 10 years, 8,752 Missouri motorists left on a trip and never made it to their destination.  This project uses public and private industry solutions to reduce crashes and save lives.

Franklin County Improvements

Improvements are located at 16 different locations across the county.

St. Charles County Improvements

Improvements are located at 15 different locations across the county.

The project team used the state’s strategic highway safety plan to come up with the project goals.
