Project Update (updated 04/09)
The following is an update on design and construction improvements as of April 9, 2018:
• All design work has been completed
•Construction work has been completed at 11 of 31 locations 
•High Friction Surface Treatment has been completed on 10 of 40 lane miles
•Flashing beacons have been installed at 10 of 17 locations
•Intersection conflict warning systems have been installed at three of six locations
• Across the lane rumble strips have been installed at 19 of 23 locations
• All LED stop signs have been installed

MoDOT held two public meetings in July 2017 to outline the safety improvements in Franklin and St. Charles Counties. Below is the information presented at both meetings:

Project Details

During the last 10 years, 8,752 Missouri motorists left on a trip and never made it to their destination.  This project uses public and private industry solutions to reduce crashes and save lives.

Franklin County Improvements

Improvements are located at 16 different locations across the county.

St. Charles County Improvements

Improvements are located at 15 different locations across the county.

The project team used the state’s strategic highway safety plan to come up with the project goals.
