Route 65/14 Interchange Reconstruction: Ozark (Christian County)
NIGHT WORK: Eastbound Route 14 traffic will be shifted to the center-turn lane between 22nd Street and Route 65. Crews will haul rock and dirt to the west end of the project to widen the highway and build the west end of the new bridge over Route 65. Crews will work between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Traffic on the Route 14 bridge over Route 65 is shifted a few feet to the north round the clock.
Route 65 traffic may be slowed occasionally to allow equipment to enter and leave the median where crews are building a bridge column.
Crews will install a box culvert on the south side of Route 14 near 22nd Street – AWAY from traffic.
Obey flaggers if they are on the road. Be alert and watch for construction vehicles.
The work is part of a project to widen Route 14 to five-lanes between 16th and 22nd Streets, widen the Route 14 bridge over Route 65, widen the ramps at the interchange to provide additional turn lanes and build new sidewalks, storm drains and concrete islands.
Scheduled completion: November 2009.

Construction Projects -
Route 65 Widening: Fair Grove to Dallas County Route EE (Greene/Dallas counties)
Contractor crews may blast rock along Route 65 south of the Pomme de Terre River in Greene County up to twice a day – at 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Route 65 traffic will be slowed and possibly stopped just prior to the blast and could remain stopped for up to 10 minutes.
Crews will begin paving the new southbound lanes at Dallas County Route EE. Drivers on Route EE and Route 65 should be alert for equipment entering and leaving work areas.
Crews will work on the new bridge over the Pomme de Terre River north of Fair Grove – AWAY from traffic.
The work is part of a project to widen Route 65 to four lanes between Route 125/CC at Fair Grove and Dallas County Route EE. New intersections will be built at Dallas County Route AA, Route 215/Dallas County Route OO, Route 38/Dallas County Route TT and Dallas County Route EE. Project completion: December 2009.
Route 65 Widening and Relocation: Dallas County Route EE near Foose to Truman Road in Buffalo (Dallas County)
Contractor crews will clear brush and trees and grade dirt at the south end of the project between Route EE and Brushy Mountain Road. Large box culverts are being installed in areas – AWAY from traffic.
Golf Course Road traffic is shifted to a temporary bypass. Contractors are building a box culvert and the new intersection of Route 65 and Golf Course Road.
The Route 65 widening and relocation project will widen the road to four lanes between Dallas County Route EE and Truman Road in Buffalo. The road will be relocated to the west of the existing highway. New intersections will be built at existing Route 65 near Truman Road as well as at Neill Road, Kelly Road, Golf Course Road and Barnes Lane.
Scheduled completion: July 2010.

Kearney Street Widening (Route 744): Springfield (Greene County)
Contractor crews will relocate water and gas lines along the south side of Kearney Street between Route 65 and LeCompte Road – away from traffic. The work will take place away from traffic.
The work is part of a project to widen Kearney Street to five lanes between Route 65 and LeCompte Road, rehabilitate the Kearney Street bridge over Route 65 and widen the eastbound lanes of Kearney Street between Mayfair Avenue and Route 65.
Project completion: July 2009.
Glenstone Avenue (Business 65)/Primrose Street Widening: Springfield (Greene County)
Drivers should be alert for a slow-moving operation and traffic shifts as crews stripe the pavement in the intersection.
The work is part of a project to provide dual left-turn lanes at the intersection, build right-turn lanes, install new storm drains and add new traffic signals.
Project nearing completion.
Northbound Route 13 Lane Relocation: North of Springfield (Greene County)
One southbound lane of Route 13 could be closed late in the week to allow crews to build left turn lanes at Farm Roads 34 and 44.
Contractor crews will grade and haul rock and dirt along the entire length of the project. Drivers should be alert for slow-moving dump trucks entering and leaving the project, using both the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 13.
The crossovers at Farm Road 34 and 44 are both closed to traffic. The crossovers could be closed for several months. A detour is set up to allow vehicles to use the crossover at Greene County Routes BB/CC to access northbound or southbound Route 13.
The work is part of a project to relocate the northbound lanes of Route 13 between Pinewood Drive (south of Farm Road 48) on the south and Farm Road 6 on the north parallel to the southbound lanes.
Scheduled completion: June 2009.
Route 60/Glenstone Avenue Interchange: Springfield (Greene County)
NIGHT WORK: The eastbound driving lane of Route 60 will be closed west of Glenstone Avenue to allow contractors to lay asphalt next to the highway. Crews will work between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights.
The shoulder along eastbound Route 60 is closed just west of the Glenstone Avenue interchange where a new eastbound off-ramp is under construction.
Crews will work at night to lay the asphalt for the final driving surface on Republic Road, Glenstone Avenue and the eastbound ramps. The work will take place AWAY from traffic.
Crews will spread grass seed and mulch in areas.
Republic Road is closed between a point east of Charleston Avenue and a point west of Old Glenstone Avenue through early November. Drivers are urged to use Glenstone Avenue, Route 60 (James River Freeway) and National Avenue to get around the closing of Republic Road.
The work scheduled is part of a project to rebuild and relocate the eastbound Route 60 ramps, raise and widen Republic Road to five lanes and build a new intersection at Republic Road/Harvard Avenue/Route 60 eastbound ramps.
Scheduled completion: Fall 2008. Route 266 Relocation/Airport Boulevard Construction - west of Springfield (Greene County)
HEADS UP: Traffic on Route EE is scheduled to be shifted to the new round-about on Tuesday, October 14. When the round-about is open, Farm Road 124 will be closed at Route EE for up to three weeks to allow crews to build the connection from Farm Road 124 to the round-about. Farm Road 124 traffic will be detoured to Route AB and Route EE to get around the closing.
Traffic on the Route 266 bridge is reduced to one lane in each direction on the westbound side. Crews are tying steel reinforcing bars into place on the eastbound side of the bridge.
Reinforcing steel will be tied into place on the eastbound side of the Route 266 (Chestnut Expressway) bridge over I-44. Route 266 traffic is shifted into the westbound lanes on the bridge.
Crews will grade dirt, haul rock and install drain pipes to build a new section of Route 266 between I-44 and the new Airport Boulevard under construction.
Bridge walls will be built along the new bridge over the BNSF Railroad tracks along the new Airport Boulevard is being allowed to cure.
Farm Road 107 (Kaylor Road) is closed to traffic. The new Airport Boulevard will parallel old Farm Road 107 between Route 266 and Route EE.
The project involves building Airport Boulevard between Route 266 and the new Springfield-Branson National Airport terminal, building a new round-about at the intersection of Airport Boulevard, Route EE and Farm Road 124, relocating Route 266 to the north of the existing roadway and rehabilitating the Route 266 (Chestnut Expressway) bridge over I-44.
Scheduled completion: December 2008.
Route 65 Widening: between Springfield and Fair Grove (Greene County)
Late in the week, both southbound lanes of Route 65 could be opened south of Bluegrass Road and between Fair Grove and Greene County Route KK/A.
The crossovers at Bluegrass Road and Greene County Farm Road 68 are scheduled to reopen to traffic on Monday, October 20. When the crossovers open, the median crossings at Greene County Route KK/A and Route AA/C will close for several weeks.
One lane on the northbound side is closed to traffic. Crews will diamond-grind the pavement and install guardrail.
The speed limit on northbound and southbound Route 65 is reduced to 55 mph where crews are working. Because the left-hand lanes in each direction remain closed, drivers on Route 65 will be unable to pass.
Grass seed and mulch applied to areas along the new southbound lanes of Route 65.
The work is part of a project to widen Route 65 to four lanes between Springfield and Fair Grove and build new crossovers at intersections with state routes and Bluegrass Road.
Scheduled completion: December 2008.

Route 54 Resurfacing: Weaubleau to Wheatland (Hickory County)
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic in areas between Weaubleau and Wheatland. Contractor crews are resurfacing the roadway and shoulders.
The project involves building and paving shoulders and resurfacing Route 54 between the St. Clair/Hickory county line west of Weaubleau and Wheatland. A project to resurface Route 54 and pave shoulders between Wheatland and Preston will take place next spring.
Scheduled completion of project between Weaubleau and Wheatland: December 2008.

The MoDOT Concrete Crew will repair the pavement on Route 5 north of Lebanon – between about two miles north of the city limits and the Camden/Laclede county line. Drivers can expect one-lane traffic between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Traffic will alternate one way then the other through the work zone.
Conway crews will mow I-44.
Crew members from Lebanon will mow Routes W, CC and state routes in Lebanon.
Nebo crews will mow Routes C, J and PP.
