Newly Relocated Greene/Webster County Route B
In Rogersville DELAYED UNTIL MONDAY, OCT. 3

Route B Relocation Map attached below

Webster/Greene Counties – The newly relocated section of Greene/Webster County Route B in Rogersville originally scheduled to open Friday, Sept. 30, has been delayed until Monday afternoon, October 3, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The contractor building the project ran into scheduling delays with a subcontractor.

Greene/Webster County Route B will veer to the west near Hamilton Street on the north edge of Rogersville and will connect into the former Greene County Farm Road 253.  The new road travels south to reach Route 60.  As part of Project Freeway: U.S. 60 Rogersville, Farm Road 253 (new Route B) was widened and resurfaced between Center Street and Route 60. The new Route B will connect into the interchange at Route 60. (See the attached map)

The new Route B features a new bridge over the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railroad tracks.

The old section of Route B that runs through Rogersville and is known as Mill Street will be turned over to the city of Rogersville.

The project also includes improving the railroad crossings on Mill Street and White Oak Road in Rogersville.  The roadways at the two crossings were widened slightly, new concrete medians were built and new crossing arms/gates and improved warning lights were installed. The Cherry Street railroad crossing is closed permanently.

Once the work on the railroad crossings is complete later this fall, it will no longer be necessary for trains to sound their warning whistles/horns going through Rogersville.

Project Background:

The project is scheduled for completion by December 15, 2016.

The prime contractor on the project is Radmacher Brothers Excavating of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

The total project cost is $6.7 million.

Project is a partnership between the City of Rogersville, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad and MoDOT.
