Project Freeway: U.S. 60 Rogersville
Update for Week of April 11, 2016
  • Lane closings on U.S. Route 60 at Greene County Farm Road 247 for bridge work
  • Crews and equipment entering Route 60 at Greene County Farm Roads 247 and 253

 

 Work Scheduled:  

  • Route 60 and Webster County Routes B/VV Interchange
    • Relocating utilities for center-turn lane construction on Route VV south of Route 60
  • Route 60 at Greene County Farm Road 247 Interchange:
    • Installing components for bridge deck/driving surface over Route 60
    • Placing and grading rock for interchange ramps
  • Route 60 at Greene County Farm Road 253 Interchange
    • Placing and grading rock and paving interchange ramps
    • Installing conduit and wiring for street lights at interchange
  • Paving Johnstown Drive extension south of Route 60 from Route 253 to the east
  • Paving Center Street extension south of Route 60 from Farm Road 243 to the east

Traffic Impacts:  

  • Daytime lane closings on Route 60 at Farm Road 247. Work hours: 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Greene County Farm Road 253 south of Route 60 CLOSED along with the Route 60 median crossover
  • Crews and equipment entering and leaving work areas, especially along Route 60 at Greene County Farm Roads 247 and 253 

(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.) 

Project Summary:

  • Build an interchange at Route 60 and Routes B/VV
  • Build an interchange at Route 60 and Farm Road 253
  • Build an overpass over Route 60 at Farm Road 247
  • Build turn lanes on Route 60 at Chicory Road and at Peck Hollow Road -- COMPLETED
  • Widen Farm Road 253 between Route 60 and Center Street
  • Reconfigure intersection of Route VV and Redbud Street
  • Improve the intersection of Route VV and Johnstown Drive
  • Build outer roads in areas to connect Rogersville streets to new interchanges

Design-Build Contractor: Ozark Regional Road Constructors

Completion Date: December 2016

Total Project Cost: $35 million
