North and southbound Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane while the Missouri Department of Transportation performs routine bridge repairs.

The first section of roadway is located between County Road 724 and Route P ( one mile south of Route P).

Weather permitting, the repairs will made Tuesday, Oct 13 and Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
