SIKESTON--A ribboncutting ceremony will be held Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. to commemorate completion of the Establishment Creek Bridge in Ste. Genevieve County. The ceremony will be held on the northeast side of the newly constructed bridge on Route 61 near Bloomsdale. Parking will be available near the bridge site. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the St. Agnes School in Bloomsdale, 30 Saint Agnes Drive.

·         Tom Schulte on behalf of U.S. Senator Kit Bond

·         Kathy Waltz on behalf of U.S. Representative Russ Carnahan

·         State Senator Kevin Engler

·         State Representative Joe Fallert, District 104

·         MoDOT Southeast District Engineer Mark Shelton

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the contract during its regular meeting in February for improvements to replace the bridge over Establishment Creek near Bloomsdale. The $1,118,236 contract was awarded to Goodwin Bros. Construction, Co., Crystal City, Mo. Work began in March and was completed today.
