SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission did not award a contract during its regular meeting today to install edge line rumble strips in the Southeast District.  If awarded, the project would have included making improvements to 11 routes throughout the 14-county region. 

One bid was received for the project, and it was higher than anticipated.  The bid surpassed MoDOT's budget for the project and was therefore rejected.
