Willow Springs, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced work on the Route 185 bridge over the Indian Creek in Washington County is now expected to start June 1. 

Construction on the bridge was initially set to begin on May 18, but wet weather has delayed the closure until June 1. The bridge will be temporarily closed for construction, allowing crews to replace the bridge deck. The structure is contracted to be reopened within 60 days of closure.

Changeable message boards will be placed near the bridge to remind motorists of the pending closure. Safe & Sound signage has been added to the bridges scheduled to be rehabilitated under the Safe & Sound program within the next five years.
