Districts Impacted
The three bridges included in this project have been identified for improvements. The Andrew County Route H Lincoln Creek Bridge was built in 1966, the Andrew County Route B Upper Neely Bridge in 1968, and the Buchanan Route DD Jenkins Creek Bridge in 1971. This project will replace the bridge decks and update guardrail to current standards.
Project Progress
MoDOT contracted Benesch to design the new bridges for the Andrew County Route H Lincoln Creek Bridge, Andrew County Route B Upper Neely Bridge, and Buchanan Route DD Jenkins Creek Bridge.
MoDOT will offer three opportunities to receive community feedback regarding the intersection improvement project.
- An in-person public meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at the Missouri Department of Transportation's Northwest District Office, 3602 N. Belt Highway, St. Joseph, MO 64506. This will be an open house style meeting and community members are welcome to drop by anytime between 4:30 - 6 p.m. to speak with project experts and provide feedback. Contractors may submit competitive bids during MoDOT's scheduled lettings. This project is scheduled to be a part of the August 2024 letting. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will consider all submitted bids at its scheduled monthly meeting in September 2024. If the lowest submitted bid meets all necessary criteria, the MHTC may award contracts at that time.
After the contract is awarded, MoDOT will work with the contractor to determine the construction schedule.
