The proposed design for the intersection of U.S.  Route 61/67 and St. Johns Church Road consists of:

  • Install a four-way traffic signal at the intersection
  • Add a right-turn lane to southbound 61/67 north of the intersection
  • Add a left-turn lane to St. Johns Church Road and stripe Linderhof Drive to add thru and left-turn lane pavement markings
  • Resurface Route 61/67 within project limits
  • add sidewalk and crosswalks to meet ADA standards

The proposed design for the intersection of U.S. Route 61/67 and Miller Road East consists of

  • Realign Miller Road East to coincide with strip mall entrance
  • Widen Miller Road East to accommodate two thru lanes and a turning lane
  • Install a four-way traffic signal at the intersection
  • Widen both directions of Route 61/67 to accommodate turn lanes
  • Widen southbound Route 61/67 north of Miller Road East for the addition of a right-turn lane
  • Add pedestrian crossing south of Miller Road East, between Pleasant View Motel and strip mall
  • Resurface Route 61/67 within project limits
  • Add pedestrian crosswalks at the strip mall entrance

WILL THERE BE RIGHT OF WAY ACQUISITIONS?

MoDOT will need to purchase some property and/or obtain permanent and temporary easements in order to construct the additional lane through the project limits. A Right of Way representative will be contacting affected landowners during the summer of 2022 to begin the acquisition process.


PROJECT COST

The estimated cost of this project is $2.5 million.
