Districts Impacted
As of Dec. 19, 2024, both directions of the new Lance Corporal Leon Deraps I-70 Missouri River Bridge at Rocheport are now open to traffic. Construction will continue through late spring 2025 with minimal traffic impacts expected.
Construction began in early 2022 to replace the 1960 steel truss bridge. When complete in late spring 2025, both bridges will carry three lanes of traffic, connecting the multiple segments of the Improve I-70 program that will widen I-70 to three lanes across the state. Saturday Superintendent Talks
These events were held every third Saturday of the month at 9 a.m., March to October, through the duration of the Rocheport Bridge project. The public was able to see and hear more about the progress being made on the bridge from the project team. Each talk highlighted a segment of work currently taking place, why that work was necessary to the project, and included a question-and-answer session!
Our FINAL Saturday Superintendent Talk was Oct. 19, 2024.
