2014 Regional Prioritization Processes

Legislation has been filed in the Missouri House of Representatives (Amendment 7) that provides additional revenue for Missouri’s transportation needs, if approved by Missouri voters.  The legislation requires the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) to approve a list of projects, programs and facilities that would be funded with the new revenue prior to the effective date.


The MHTC has charged Missouri’s Metropolitan Planning Organizations and Regional Planning Commissions with developing a prioritized list of projects, programs and facilities to fund with the additional revenue.  The MHTC is requiring an inclusive, transparent and accountable process to develop the prioritized lists.
