HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, Monday, November 9, 2009 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., MoDOT crews will close Route B east of Frankford for culvert replacements. Route B will be closed at two locations from approximately 1 to 3 miles east of Route 61. Motorists must use alternate routes during this time. Some areas of the roadway will be open to local traffic only.

The project is weather dependent and could be rescheduled. After the culvert has been replaced, some settling will occur.  MoDOT crews will monitor the area and continue to fill the roadway with surfacing material until the settling stops.

All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map on the day it begins. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones. Drivers are also invited to rate MoDOT work zones online at modot.org. MoDOT also offers e-update messages sent directly to your email when roadwork is scheduled.
