Northeast Area Flood Update

HANNIBAL - MoDOT is watching several roads in the Northeast area that could be closed due to potential flash flooding.  MoDOT will set up detours and provide flaggers at appropriate locations. Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways; water-covered roadways may hide washed-out bridges or culverts. The following roads are closed due to flash flooding:

Clark County
Route K at Fox River north of Luray just north of Route N junction.
Route D at Wyaconda River approximately 2 miles west of Route 81.

Knox County
Route 11 at South Fabius River west of Baring approximately 2 miles west of Route 15.

Lewis County
Route E at Fabius River approximately 3 miles west of Williamstown.

Monroe County
Route A at Crooked Creek located between Route WW and DD just south of Lentner.

Shelby County
Route N at North Fork of Salt River located 3 miles south of Route K just north of Lentner.

All closures can be found online at http://www.modot.org/ on the traveler information map. Since waters rise and fall quickly during flash flooding, it is recommended motorists check the website or call 1-888-275-6636 for the latest information.
