Weekly Road Work for Northeast Missouri
Schedule for October 19 through October 30

HANNIBAL - The following is a list of general highway construction and maintenance scheduled for October 19 through October 30 for all counties in MoDOT's northeast district. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other maintenance work may occur on other roads throughout the area. This work will include lane closures and at times delays can be expected.

Crews will be working during daylight work hours unless otherwise indicated. Various forms of traffic control will be in place to secure the safety of the motoring public as well as the safety of highway crews.

All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map on the day it begins or at least one week in advance. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones. Drivers are also invited to rate MoDOT work zones online at modot.org. MoDOT also offers e-update messages sent directly to your email when roadwork is scheduled. Sign up online or call MoDOT's customer service center at 1-888-275-6636.

:
Route 15 - Project 95% complete - Paving operations should be completed in Mexico, paving operations starting Oct. 19 approx. 12 miles south of Paris going south to Mexico; location 24.3 miles in Audrain and Monroe Counties from one mile north of Route 22 to just north of Route 54 at Mexico.
Maintenance:
Route 15 - Oct. 19 painting H piles, no road closure.
Route 54 - Oct. 20-26 painting H piles, no road closure.
All Routes - Oct. 19-23 mowing, moving operation with blocker truck.
Routes T, N & U - Oct. 19-30 hot mix patching, one lane traffic with flaggers.

Clark County
Construction
:
Route 61/27 - Milling operations and resurfacing in progress - 85% complete - Asphalt operations at 5 disconnected sections in southbound lanes from the Iowa State line south to the Lewis County line. One-lane traffic southbound from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday thru Saturday with 14 to 16 ft. width restrictions at work zones from just north of Fox River Bridge to the 27 South/61 ramp, and from Sugar Creek Bridge to Lewis County line.
Maintenance:
Route EE - Resurfacing postponed due to weather, scheduling pending- road to be closed for resurfacing from Business Route 136, just east of Kahoka, east to state maintenance ends. Crews will begin working on the east end of Route EE and will proceed west approximately 5 miles.
Route 61 and 27 - Oct. 19-23 completing erosion plan with track hoe, lane drop with one lane closure.
Routes V and CC - Oct. 19-23 tube replacement with backhoe, one lane closure.
Routes NN, H, F, P, Z and K - Oct. 19-23 mowing, moving operation with follow truck.
Routes 136, 27 and 61 - Oct. 26-30 mowing, moving operation with follow truck.
Route 136 - Oct. 29-30 painting H piles, no road closure.

Knox County
Maintenance
:
Routes E and P - Oct. 19 mowing one pass, moving operation with follow truck.
Route 168 - Oct. 19-23 dirt work, no lane closure.
Routes 151, KK, BB, 156, CC, T, U, AA, K, V, M and E - Oct. 19-23 mowing, moving operation with a follow truck.
Route V - Oct. 19-23 bridge work with dozer, one lane with signs.

Lewis County
Maintenance
:
Route C - Oct. 20 closed from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. for culvert replacement west of LaGrange; closure is .2 mile east of Route Z junction. Flaggers will be in place to redirect traffic.
Route Z - Oct. 20 closed from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. for culvert replacement west of LaGrange; closure is 1.5 miles south of Route C junction. Flaggers will be in place to redirect traffic.
Route V - Oct. 21 closed from 8:30 a.m to 12:00 p.m. for culvert replacements just south of Maywood; closure is .2 miles south of Route O junction. Flaggers will be in place to redirect traffic.
Route O - Oct. 21 will be reduced to one lane from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. just west of Maywood; work area within the first 1-mile section west of Route V junction. Flaggers will be in place to redirect traffic.
Routes NN, H, F, P, Z and K - Oct. 19-23 mowing, moving operation with follow trucks.
Route 61 - Oct. 19-23 working on erosion control southbound between Canton and LaGrange, left lane closed.
Route B - Oct. 21-22 ditching in LaGrange and west outer road south of LaGrange, one lane with flaggers.
Routes A, H, K, E, Y and J - Oct. 19-23 mowing, one lane road, be prepared to stop.
Routes 16 and 6 - Oct. 26-30 mowing, moving operation with follow truck. Priority 1 mowing if needed.

Lincoln County
Construction
:
Route 61 at Route U interchange - Bridge incidental clean up; grading roadbeds in preparation for Baserock. Project 55% completed.
Maintenance:
Route J - Oct. 19 edgerutting shoulders, one lane traffic with flaggers and pilot car.
All Routes - Oct. 21-30 mowing, moving operation with blocker truck.
Routes C & MM - Oct. 21 & 22 hot mix patching, one lane traffic with flaggers.

Marion County
Maintenance
:
Route 168 - Oct. 19-23 working on edge ruts, moving operation.
Route J - Oct. 30 working on edge ruts, moving operation.

Monroe County
Construction
:
Route 15- Job 50% complete, Paving operations should be completed in Mexico, paving operations starting Oct. 19 approx. 12 miles south of Paris going south to Mexico; when crews are working one lane road with possible width restrictions of 10 ft.; location 24.3 miles in Audrain and Monroe Counties from one mile north of Route 22 to just north of Route 54 at Mexico.
Route 151 - (Includes Shelby County) - No paving this week; paving operations starting west of Higbee if conditions permit. Resurfacing from Business Route 36 at Clarence to Route 24 at Madison, 22 miles.

Route AC - Project 58% complete - Welding deck clips, install metal decking forms, and pour back walls, set overhang brackets. Sept. 8 thru Nov. 20 road closed to rehabilitate Cuivre River Bridge; detours over Routes AC, K, W, BB, 161.

All Routes - Oct. 19-30 mowing, moving operation with blocker truck.

Pike County

:
Route 61 - 43% complete, shoulder work in progress. Diamond grinding southbound with one lane closed during daytime work hours; three disconnected pieces in both north and southbound lanes between Bowling Green and Eolia.
Maintenance:
Route WW & Route 61 service road - Oct. 23 hot mix patching, one lane traffic with flaggers.
All Routes - Oct. 19-30 mowing, moving operation with blocker truck.
Route 79 - Oct. 21-30 cleaning box culverts, shoulder work only.
Routes UU & Z - Oct. 19-22 hot mix patching, one lane traffic with flaggers.

Route P - Job 58% complete; Painting beams flanges, weld deck clips, install metal decking forms and substructure repair. Sept. 22 thru Nov. 20 road closed to rehabilitate Spencer Creek Bridge; road will be closed at the bridge with detours over Routes K, 19, 154.

Supplementary Routes - Oct. 19-23 mowing, moving operation with follow truck.

Shelby County
Construction
:
Route 151 - (Includes Monroe County) - No paving this week; paving operations starting west of Higbee if conditions permit. Resurfacing from Business Route 36 at Clarence to Route 24 at Madison, 22 miles.

Route 36 - Project Status: Project 75% complete - Shelby County area - Contractor may pave eastbound lanes at Salt River. Base rock will be placed on the mainline from Route T to Shelbina. The contractor will be working all days possible, this includes Saturday and Sunday if weather permits. The north Ramps at Route 36/15 at Shelbina and Co. Rd. 490 remain closed. The westbound on/off ramps at Routes 36/15 at Shelbina are closed off; the contractor will pave a portion of the new highway, rebuild part of the ramps, and then tie it in to the existing highway. Motorists driving west will be directed to take the first Shelbina exit to access Route 15 north and south. Detours clearly signed. Marion County area - Contractor will be concrete paving from just west of Monroe City west to the Marion/Shelby County Line, and grading just west of Monroe City on the new eastbound lanes. Motorist should take caution for trucks slowing & turning on & off the highway. This will be a work zone and the speed limit will be 45 mph. Traffic traveling on the 3 miles of new westbound lanes approximately 1 ½ miles west of Monroe City, or just west of the Route Z interchange. Motorists wishing to enter and exit Monroe City using Business Route 36 on the west end of town will be using a new temporary gravel crossover in the median area on Route 36. Macon/Shelby County - Contractor has completed mainline paving from the West end of the project to Crooked Creek, approximately 1 mile West of Lentner.  Contractor continues hand pave at median crossovers and is laying aggregate base in preparation for paving further East yet this year.  All major earthwork is complete and only finishing and fine grading remain.  Work has resumed on the Route 36 bridge over Route FF since the bridge fills are now complete.  The Route 151 bridge over Route 36 was opened last month.

Routes 168 and W - Oct. 20-23 working on driveway and edge rut repairs, no lane closure.
Routes W J - Oct. 20-23 working on edge ruts repair, moving operation.
Routes 36,15 and 151 - Oct. 19-23 blading shoulders and patching potholes, both lanes open.
Routes DD, TT, A and WW - Oct. 26-28 patching potholes, both lanes open.
Route 15 - Oct. 27 mowing one pass, moving operation with follow truck.
Route W - Oct. 28-29 working on edge rut repairs, moving operation.
Routes AA, U, T and Z - Oct.  29-30 patching potholes, both lanes open.
Route J - Oct. 30 working on edge rut repairs, moving operation.

Warren County
Construction
:
Interstate 70 westbound - Project 42% complete; Weather permitting, Oct. 19 - 23 contractor will resurface westbound from m.m. 186 to 193. Due to concerns with safety of traveling public and workers, the ramps at Route A & B, and the ramp from Route 47 to west bound I-70, will be closed for short periods of time, approximately 3 to 4 hours, within the next two weeks, sometime between the hours of 6 PM and 7 AM. It is expected that only one ramp will be closed at any given time, and changeable message boards will be in place advising motorists to use outer roads for access to/from I-70 during the ramp closures. Work will take place at night, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Resurfacing from just west of Route 47 to the Montgomery county line.
Maintenance:
Route 94 - October 27 and 28 structure repairs at Treloar Creek Bridge; road will be closed at the bridge from Tuesday morning and could remain closed until the end of the workday on Wednesday.
