HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, MoDOT and its contractor will begin resurfacing the ramps from Route 47 to westbound Interstate 70, and both westbound ramps at the Route A and B interchange.

The ramps will be closed for 3 to 4 hour periods during nighttime working hours within the next two weeks, October 12 through 23. It is expected that only one ramp will be closed at any given time, and changeable message boards will be in place advising motorists to use outer roads for access to and from Interstate 70 during the ramp closures. Due to the expected heavy traffic for any University of Missouri home football game, crews will not work the weekend home games from 7 a.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday.

Crews will be working during the night from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. to reduce delays to motorists. During resurfacing, traffic will be restricted to one lane with a 50 m.p.h. speed reduction through the work zone. Flashing message boards and warning signs will alert motorists prior to the work zone. Some delays should be expected, please allow ample driving time to your destination.
