HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, Saturday morning, August 9, MoDOT will permanently close the East Business Route 36 approach into Monroe City.  Motorists will now proceed west to the Route 36 interchange onto Route Z/24 to Monroe City.

Lighted message signs will be placed on Route 36 to make motorist aware of the road closure.  Motorists are asked to use extra caution and obey all road construction signs and speed limits while traveling through the work zone.
