Pavement Repairs Scheduled on Missouri Route 19 Near New London

HANNIBAL - Drivers can expect delays on Missouri Route 19 in New London as pavement repairs begin from the U.S. Route 61 southbound off-ramp to the entrance of the Love’s Travel Stop. The work is scheduled to begin September 18 with anticipated completion by late September.

This work will occur during daytime hours and include short-term lane closures with flaggers to assist with traffic control. This will mark the final stages of the resurfacing project on MO 19 between U.S. 61 in Ralls County and Route J in Audrain County.

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. was awarded the contract by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission last winter for $11,416,278 which also included a corridor improvement project on MO 19 with the addition of a turn lane at Mark Twain School near Center.

Schedule changes could occur due to weather or material availability.  We ask motorists to please be attentive in work zones for their safety and the safety of highway workers. Please obey all traffic signs and personnel and eliminate distractions by putting down your phone.

MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media. For more information, call MoDOT at 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636).
