Bridge Rehabilitations to Start Next Week in Miller and Camden Counties

MILLER/CAMDEN COUNTY – Motorists will see some traffic impacts on two bridges in the Lake of the Ozarks area as the crossings receive needed repairs and updates in the coming months.

Work is scheduled to begin next week, as a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin installing guardrails and replacing the deck of the Miller County Route C bridge over Deane Creek, south of Brumley. The bridge will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place, starting on June 1. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists of the closure.

Motorists will be able to utilize Camden County Route A, U.S. Route 54, and Missouri Route 42 as a detour route during the rehabilitation of the Deane Creek bridge. MoDOT says they appreciate the patience of motorists while this work takes place.

Once the Deane Creek bridge has been rehabilitated, crews will begin to replace the deck of the Camden County Route D bridge over Minnow Brook Creek, southwest of Camdenton. More information will be available regarding this phase of the project closer to its start date.

Both bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
