JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri Department of Transportation is making it easier for job seekers to find out about open positions at the department. Those looking for work can now have job notices e-mailed directly to them or sent via a Twitter account.
You can sign up for the e-mail service at www.modot.org/eupdate. At the bottom of the page is a section called "Career Opportunities" organized by district. This allows you to pick the geographic areas where you're interested in finding employment. Once you're signed up, you will receive an e-mail every time a job opens up in the districts you selected.
You can also sign up to receive e-mails on projects, roadwork and public meetings.
To follow MoDOT job notices via Twitter, visit http://twitter.com/MoDOTCareers. If you do not have a Twitter account, you will need to create one first.
For a list of additional e-mail alerts or MoDOT Twitter accounts, including real-time traffic information, please visit http://www.modot.mo.gov/newsandinfo/emodot/index.htm.
