JEFFERSON CITY - Greg Horn today was named District Engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation's St. Louis District.
Horn, a 1984 graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a professional engineer in the state of Missouri, has enjoyed a 29-year career at MoDOT - all in the St. Louis area. He's been in managerial positions for all but three of those years, working in design and construction.
Since June he's been the interim district engineer. Prior to that, he was the project director for the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge that is nearing completion.
"Greg has built solid relationships in the community, and has frequently led partnerships and collaborations among public and private entities to improve transportation in the region," MoDOT Director Dave Nichols said. "Those are qualities that are critical to our success, especially during times of limited resources."
