Bridge Rehabilitation to Close Northbound I-435 Ramp to Cookingham Drive

KANSAS CITY -The ramp from northbound I-435 to Cookingham Drive (Route D) in Platte County will close at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 until 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 to allow the Missouri Department of Transportation to complete bridge rehabilitation. A signed detour will be in place. All work is weather dependent.

Detour will direct traffic on northbound I-435 to I-29 to the Mexico City Avenue exit back onto southbound I-29 to the Cookingham Drive (Route D) exit.

This bridge rehabilitation project was awarded to Comanche Construction, Inc. for $3.2 million and will significantly improve the life of each structure. With more than 10,400 bridges on the Missouri state highway system - 7th largest total nationwide, one of MoDOT's priorities is to keep its bridges safe and in good condition.
