Northbound I-35 Ramp to Southbound I-435 (Exit 12A) Closes for July 17 Bridge Rehabilitation
KANSAS CITY - Bridge rehabilitation will close the northbound I-35 ramp to southbound I-435 (Exit 12A) from noon Wednesday, July 17 until 5 a.m. Saturday, July 27 for bridge rehabilitation.
This work follows the reopening of southbound I-35 to southbound I-435, scheduled to open by noon Wednesday, July 17, earlier than the original July 19 completion date. A signed detour will be in place. All work is weather dependent.
Traffic on northbound I-35 will use the same exit (12A), but will stay in the right lane to US 69, and continue through the traffic signal to reach southbound I-435. Motorists should allow extra time when traveling this direction.
This is one of several bridge rehabilitation projects this construction season in the Claycomo area. All work in the area is scheduled to be complete by November. To see the full list of these bridge projects visit http://www.modot.org/kansascity/major_projects/NorthlandBridges.htm.
