RIVERSIDE - Bridge rehabilitation will close the ramp from northbound Route 9 to southbound I-635 at 7 a.m. Monday, July 8 until 5 p.m. August 12 to allow the Missouri Department of Transportation to replace the bridge deck. A signed detour will be in place.
Traffic will be directed to stay on Route 9 to Horizon's Parkway to connect to southbound I-635.
This is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation's bridge rehabilitation project to prolong the life of several structures in the Northland this construction season.
All work is weather dependent. This project was awarded to Comanche Construction, Inc. for $3.2 million and will significantly improve the life of each structure. With more than 10,400 bridges on the Missouri state highway system - 7th largest total nationwide, one of MoDOT's priorities is to keep its bridges safe and in good condition. MoDOT continues to focus its efforts and resources to provide the best value, while honoring this commitment.
