Upcoming Route 114 Bridge Projects in Stoddard County

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to improve four bridges on Route 114 in Stoddard County. The upcoming bridge projects are grouped into two lettings in January 2025 and December 2026, tentatively.

 Improvements to the Route 114 bridges to be let in Jan. 2025, include:

  • Replacing the bridge over Drainage Ditch 5, located between Grayridge and Hunterville, Missouri 
  • Rehabilitating the bridge over Little River Drainage Ditch, located west of Morehouse, Missouri between County Road 789/589 and County Road 593 

Construction of the bridges over Drainage Ditch 5 and Little River Drainage Ditch could begin as early as spring 2025. During this time, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each bridge for approximately 120 days. 

Improvements to the Route 114 bridges to be let in Dec. 2026, include:

  • Replacing the bridge over Dexter Creek, located near East City Park in Dexter, Missouri 
  • Replacing the bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad, located in Dexter, Missouri near the intersection of Route 114 and Route 25 

Construction of the two bridges in the Dec. 2026 letting could begin as early as spring 2027. Work on both bridges will begin simultaneously. The closure at Dexter Creek will be in place for approximately 70 days. The closure at the Union Pacific Railroad will be in place for approximately 120 days.
