Route 50
U.S. Route 50 Resurfacing
 

The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface approximately 12 miles of eastbound and westbound Route 50 from the Johnson County line to Route MM near La Monte. The project also includes the addition of an interactive flasher to alert Route 50 traffic to motorists approaching the highway on Route 127. A right turn lane will be installed on westbound Route 50 to allow traffic to safely turn north onto Pleasant Green Drive.

Work is scheduled to begin in late summer 2009 and end in winter 2009.

Contractor: Chester Bross Construction Co./C.B. Equipment Inc. of Hannibal, Mo.

Award Amount: $6,739,873.19

 
 
Route E

Basin Fork Creek Bridge on Route E

Bridge Deck Replacement

The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace the bridge deck of the Basin Fork Creek Bridge on Route E in Pettis County as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. The bridge is located one mile south of Route B.

The bridge will be closed to traffic during the work and motorists will be detoured around the work area. Work began on July 14, 2009 and was complete on August 12, 2009.

Route E

Flat Creek Bridge on Route E

Bridge Deck Replacement

Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program    project complete

The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace the bridge deck of the Flat Creek Bridge on Route E in Pettis County as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. The bridge is located 3.5 miles south of Route B.

The bridge closed to traffic on Aug. 20 and reopened on Sept. 23, 2009.

Route H

Muddy Creek Bridge on Route H

Bridge Deck Replacement

Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program project complete

The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace the bridge deck of the Muddy Creek Bridge on Route H in Pettis County as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. The bridge is located four miles west of Route 65.

The bridge was closed to traffic during the work, which took place from July 29 to Sept. 4, 2009.

Route Y

Muddy Creek Bridge on Route Y

Bridge Deck Replacement

Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program   Project Complete

The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace the bridge deck of the Muddy Creek Bridge on Route Y in Pettis County as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. The bridge is located two miles west of Route 127.

The bridge will be closed to traffic during the work and motorists will be detoured around the work area. The bridge closed for construction on June 15, 2009, and was reopened to traffic on July 25, 2009.
