Route 63 Environmental & Location Study
 
 

MoDOT is conducting an environmental and location study to evaluate potential future transportation needs along a 47-mile stretch of Route 63, from 1/2 mile south of the Route 50/63 junction in Osage County to just north of Rolla in Phelps County. The study is an objective process to help determine what actions, if any, are needed to best serve the transportation needs of the area.

Route 42
Route 42 Bridge Deck Replacement
Safe & Sound Bridge Program
Project Complete

The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace the bridge deck of the Mill Spring Creek Bridge on Route 42 in Maries County. The bridge is located 4.5 miles from Route 28, between County Roads 317 and 319.

The bridgeclosed to traffic during construction, which began on Oct. 19. It reopened on Nov. 13.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
Project Complete
 

The Missouri Department of Transportation will smooth the driving surface of Route 28 with a new overlay. The work will take place on 17 miles of Route 28, from U.S. Route 63 to Route C near Dixon. Funding for the project comes from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Work began in spring 2009 and ended in July 2009.

Contractor: Willard Asphalt Paving Inc. of Lebanon, Mo.

Award Amount: $829,288.29.
