The contractor is now using side dump trucks, which carry about 12 cubic yards of material. These are smaller than trucks used earlier in the excavation work, but they fall within the weight limit for the bridges so they can drive over them instead of having to maneuver around then.

These dump trucks distribute material by emptying to one side instead of emptying from the back.

These photos show the new Lake Road 5-89, near the MoDOT maintenance facility in Camdenton.
