Howard County U.S. Route 40 Bridge Deck Replacement (Bonne Femme Creek)

The existing 73 year-old bridge carries approximately 2,100 vehicles per day. The repairs are necessary to improve the condition of the bridge and extend the life of the structure by 30 years.

Cost:
The contracted cost is $6,952,040. This contract also includes the replacement of the U.S. Route 40 bridge over Salt Creek and bridge deck replacement on Cooper County Route F over Stephens Branch.

Traffic Impact:
U.S. Route 40 will be closed at the bridge during construction.
Project Milestones
On January 5, 2022, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the contract to Lehman Construction, which provided a low bid of $6,952,040. This contract also includes the replacement of the U.S. Route 40 bridge over Salt Creek and bridge deck replacement on Cooper County Route F over Stephens Branch.
